Firestone Industrial Products Company Gives To Local Beautification
Program
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (Jan. 18, 2008) – Firestone Industrial Products
Company, LLC (FSIP) and The Bridgestone Firestone Trust Fund
recently donated $5,000 to Keep Noblesville Beautiful (KNB).
FSIP contributed $3,000 to KNB in early 2007 to help the organization
get started.
KNB, a community improvement organization, sponsored a trash
cleanup along State Road 37 in April 2007. Additional projects
are planned for 2008. The KNB Board of Directors includes
representatives from the City of Noblesville, Noblesville
Preservation Alliance, Hamilton County Master Gardeners, Noblesville
Main Street, Noblesville Common Council, Noblesville Chamber
of Commerce, Noblesville Schools and citizen nominees.
“Firestone Industrial Products is committed to the environment,
and Keep Noblesville Beautiful has provided us with a way
to give back locally,” said Krista Torok, an Environmental
Engineer at FSIP. “I am pleased to present this check on behalf
of our teammates, several of whom have volunteered their free
time with the program.”
FSIP has been operating an air springs plant in Noblesville
since 1936.
“Keep Noblesville Beautiful is grateful to Firestone for
providing the financial and volunteer support to help KNB
get off to a good start in 2007 and for Firestone's continued
support during 2008,” said KNB Treasurer Mark Reuter.
